I first came to yoga looking for just another form of exercise to incorporate into my gym routine, but I soon found the practice transforming my life in ways I never expected: I felt healthier, calmer, and more in touch with myself than I ever had before. I began teaching yoga full-time in 2000 and have taken teacher training programs with Bikram Choudhury, Baron Baptiste, and Rusty Wells. I teach a vigorous flow class, but always with the understanding that students can modify and take breaks as needed. After all, yoga is about a lot more than giving your body a workout. One of the things I find most beautiful about the practice is how it can take us both deeper inside, becoming a powerful opportunity for self-reflection, and further outside of ourselves, helping us to find community with other practitioners and the world at large. I always try to keep that in mind when I teach.
